The Final Project 365

So, this is it!  The final post for my project 365.  It's been fun, but really, it has been turning into a bit of a chore near the end.  In fact, I didn't actually take a pic on the last day... the final pic is of June 2 instead of May 31st.  Oops.  I've just been forgetting, and taking pics of 'things' around the house is rather boring to me, so I didn't bother.  I won't be doing this one this year, but I will definitely take my camera along wherever I can and remember to snap pics of things that I like.  Doing this project will definitely help with that!

On to the photos.

 Day 360 - May 26
Pushing her baby brother in the swing... which is nice, seeing as the swing has trouble working properly unless the baby sits 'just so' and everything is balanced 'just so'... 4 D batteries and still not enough power to swing proper.  At least we got girl power!!!  ;)
 Day 361 - May 27
My new NOT LEAKY faucet!  Woo Hoo!  No more fishing for a non drippy section on the handle!

 Day 362 - May 28
Playin a duet?
 Day 363 - May 29
A baby shower for a friend.  So sweet!

 Day 364 - May 30
Flowers in my house.

Day 365 - June 2 (should have been May 31)
Jumping on the trampoline at a friend's birthday.  Well, ok... sitting on the trampoline is more like it, but that's ok.  We'll be jumping soon enough!

And now, for your viewing pleasure, a few pics from today.  I couldn't resist posting them... like I said, I'll be taking my camera with me everywhere now, since I've developed quite the habit of it over the year.

Farewell, Project 365!  We are done, and it's been a good ride!

Project 365

Day 351 - May 17
Two siblings...

And below... Bram's first bath in the tub.

Day 352 - May 18
Going for a walk in the park.

Day 353 - May 19
Flowers from my mom.

Day 354 - May 20
Soooo sleepy....

Day 355 - May 21
My family...

Day 356 - May 22
Bath time... again....

Day 357 - May 23
Singing Star.

Day 358 - actually taken May 25... oops
Baby toes.

Day 359 - May 25

Power went out at 3pm... you think this is the reason why?

Apparently, the cables weren't put up properly, and one fell down and burnt into the pole, causing it to break due to the high winds we had that day (90km winds, anyone?). You can guess which way it was blowing... :) It was fixed in about 4 hours... however, it was annoying due to milking starting around 3:30, having no water and needing the generator on the farm for the guys to get the animals milked. And no water means no plate cooler, which means that there was a chance the whole tank would need to be dumped due to not being cooled as fast as normal. They tested it, and it was fine, thank goodness. That's a lot of money down the drain otherwise.

Oh, and this is one of the poles on the farm. No joke.

Project 365 Update

Well, it's been awhile! Here's the last week or so.

Day 341 - May 7
The birth of our baby boy!

Day 342 - May 8
Little Bram... taken from my bed, ha ha.

Day 343 - May 9
Mother's day. We went for a walk (boy, did I want to get outside) and had a bit of fun at the swings.

Day 344 - May 10
Happy anniversary to my hubby! Here is M watching Bram for me!

Day 345 - May 11
Baby Bram.

Day 346 - May 12
Me and Bram.

Day 347 - May 13
Flowers from my MIL.

Day 348 - May 14
My kids! M is copying Bram a lot lately. It is quite cute. I try to get him to burp, I say 'burp', and she makes a funny burping noise in her throat.

Day 349 - May 15
Sleeping baby.

Day 350 - May 16

I have 2 pics for you today. Above is 'daddy' getting the baby blanket from our church (can you believe I took this photo from the very back of the sanctuary?). The one below is daddy pulling M in the wagon for our little walk. We ended up losing our jackets after a short while. Boy, is the weather nice this week! :)

Well, that's all for now, folks!

Project 365

Some more photos throughout the week.

Day 333 - April 29
The I was due, there was a farm tour in the area my husband wanted to go to. So, we went. This pic is of one of the robots on the farm... My husband refers to it as "R2-FEED2"... ha ha. It's purpose? To push the feed back towards the animals (instead of getting a skid steer and doing it yourself).
Day 334 - April 30
M is having fun stacking all her blocks on the windowsill. Excuse me... not all of them. Only the 'single' ones. She tossed the doubles and larger ones on the floor to seek out the ones she wanted.

Day 335 - May 1
This is the way we brush our teeth...

Day 336 - May 2
Acting all cute for the camera (and mirror) wearing our little housecoat.

Day 337 - May 3
Ok, technically I took this pic in the am of the 4th... but I didn't take any on the third. M is 'helping' daddy do push-ups. Pushing down when he goes down... it is SO funny to watch.

Day 338 - May 4
May the 4th be with you... so I made Bossk brownies as a "Star Wars Day" celebration of sorts.

Day 339 - May 5
M is loving the freedom of no sleeper for awhile, and the fuzzy teddy makes a great cuddle pillow.

Day 340 - May 6
I was really hoping to have a newborn baby pic on here by now. Sigh. So I'll settle for my newest hobby... knitting. I can see that I'm getting better as I go along. I'm not sure what I'm making yet... right now I think it's going to be a scarf. Perhaps not a terribly long one, and not very wide, but I'm thinking it'll be good for M's bears or dolls... or even M herself this next year. Although the yarn is acrylic, so not the most comfortable. I think I want to get some organic yarn and attempt booties next... once I've mastered the knit stitch (which I feel pretty confident on right now).
Now if only I could figure out what some of the abbreviations for the booties pattern mean. I understand K, but what is K2tog? and skp (skip? skip a stitch?)? and why do some rows say 'turn' and others not? and what is yfwd? It is supposedly an 'easy' pattern...

Project 365

Day 329 - April 25
I've got two pics for today. First, here's M and A in the garden with Grandma. We're starting them early!

And here's M at the park nearby. The kids had a lot of fun playing on the structure. M loves the ramps and the different 'ups and downs' of the 'swinging' bridge and the solid one.

Day 330 - April 26
Smores for dessert... I forgot to make the pudding I was planning on, and so we had these!

Day 331 - April 27
M really gets into shopping. I think she grabbed one of every size... of at least 4 different items. And would you believe she got her size in there as well? And yes... that is our basket. Smarty pants!

Day 332 - April 28
Tis the day before my EDD, and my sister came over and gave me a pedicure this morning! Isn't that so sweet of her? I can hardly reach my feet... never mind for an extended period of time, so it was so nice for her to do this for me! And now I have pretty toes! (this one says 'peace', and the other foot says 'pretty').

Update

Here it is... my overdue Project 365 Update.

Day 320 - April 16
M seems to think the baskets make good chairs!

Day 321 - April 17
Paying outside while Auntie J does some gardening for me! :)

Day 322 - April 18
Is daddy sleeping? Can I bug him?

Day 323 - April 19
Bath time! Time to 'lap' the water like a dog! And blow bubbles! Isn't this fun?

Day 324 - April 20
This is the gardening and yard work J did for me! She pruned the front bush, put up my lights (I cleaned them while she was digging up dirt), separated some of the plants and replanted them, dug up the dirt in the front of the house, and moved the 'brick' so that it's straight up and down again, instead of slanted outward so terribly. :) Thanks so much, J! I love it!

Day 325 - April 21
Decor.

Day 326 - April 22
I have 3 photos for you today. First, M is eating with a fork! I'm so proud! Yes, she may only get one noodle or pea into her mouth at a time, but she is so proud of herself!

This is my old old chair that I used to use as a kid, all freshly washed, aired out, and re-sewn so the next generation can enjoy it as well! And she was having fun!

Another project I did... took out all of the dragonfly bedding and washed it (along with the cradle mattress I sewed the day before) and decided to put the free bedding we got into the crib for M. It seems like it suits her better anyway with the bolder colors and the more toddler feel to it. She loves it. And I'm glad I could 'create' a bed skirt of sorts from the window valence and a sheet that had a ruffle on it.

Day 327 - April 23
Friends came down for a BBQ supper, and the kids had a ball in the yard. I really need to find M some sandals that will fit her for this year!

Day 328 - April 24
This picture may 'change', depending on what we do today, but I finished setting up the cradle this morning. Isn't it pretty? I love how it looks all nice and new (but still old) having been refinished, and it suits nicely in our bedroom as well. And the basket below is the collection of gender neutral 0-3month clothes that I have. It's not much, but it'll do for awhile. And if we have another girl, I've got lots of girl clothes I can use! :)
