I've been loading a bunch of my other layouts over on facebook. I think it's just too much posting them all up here, although I'd love to show them all to you. Maybe I'll do a 'scrapbook' blog day, and post a layout I like, and the reason I like it. :)
By the way, for those who are wondering, I use Storybook Creator 3.0 plus software. I also use gimp (mainly to create paper/embellishments, although I can use SC for that as well), but SC3 is so easy to use... now that I've been learning more, I'm finding more fun things to do (recently learned how to make text 3D... not just with a shadow, but looking like metal or glitter glue or something). Perhaps, if there is an interest, I can post some tips for that program as well. Or maybe even some .page layouts (they would only work with SC however...). Any thoughts?
I know... life is busy... where am I finding the time to scrapbook? Thankfully these pages don't take too long. I did 12 this week. Yeah... 12. I can hardly believe it myself! I'm now on September 2009! Gotta catch up.......
Have a great weekend, everyone!

Challenge for Challenges
Well, I met my challenge in scrapbooking this month. I challenged myself to enter into all the challenges on ivyscraps.com, and I did! Here is the final pic I loaded yesturday.
This was entered into the Heritage challenge... we were to scrap a tradition. This was the only one I could think of... haha.
The other challenge I gave myself was to scrap at least 5 pages a week (trying to do one month's worth of pages each week... I need to catch up somehow), and I've been managing to do that as well! Mostly just managing 5/week... but this week I've already done 7. Mostly because I can't do much demolition work in the office... it's impossible to do with the kiddos around (don't want to be swinging a sledgehammer in the same room with the kiddos, and Bram won't let me leave the room), and when they are down for naps, the noise wakes our son. Ah well. Perhaps I'll be able to do a bit today. I did take down all the baseboards and the door trim, and I want to remove the drywall around the current door and on the place we are putting the new doorway. Plus, the weather has been cold/stormy lately... so it's just not convenient to get out of the house with two young children. Difficult at best. I did get out on Wednesday, but I think that is it.
Anyway, have a great weekend, everyone!

Week in Review
For 2011 I've decided to do a week in review scrapbook... basically one page each week highlighting that week's events throughout the year. I think it will be a lot of fun. So, I decided to put my pages here (they are also on facebook). I've changed the names of the people involved for my blog's sake, but otherwise they are the same. Now you can see what's been happening in my day to day... or should I say week to week, life.
This was another challenge put out there at IvyScraps. I never would have thought to do this otherwise... at least not in scrapbook form! I think this is great, and if I am able to do it, it will be a great little book of memories for when my kids are older.
So, here are my first two weeks put together (I didn't start until then... oops...).
And here is this last week. I actually just made this today.
I'm still trying to do 5 pages a week... now one of them being this week in review... so hopefully I will get one month per week finished... although I haven't been. I'm still on June 2009. I'm finding summer difficult due to there being so very many photos to go through... and I want to scrap them all, but don't want to do THAT many pages. Especially since June 2009 was when I started the photo a day challenge... so I took more photos than normal that whole year. Yeah. Crazy.

Digital Scrapbooking
Lately I've become addicted to my Creative Memories software... the Storybook Creator 3.0 plus. I've done so many pages in the last couple of months! I'm thrilled! It looks like I may catch up with my scrapbooking after all!
That said, I've been more and more interested in designing my own digital scrapbook papers and elements, and after seeing a lot of the stuff out there (and downloading a bunch of free things), I'm getting more of the 'itch' to create!
I've been a part of IvyScraps for awhile now, and the forums there are wonderful! They have a number of challenges each month to keep you interested in scrapping, and they have a great rewards program for completing the challenges (as if getting those pages scrapped isn't reward enough!). As you complete challenges, you earn ivy leaves, and the more ivy leaves you earn through the month, the larger the percentage off you can recieve in a coupon for any of their kits in the ivyscraps store. In December I earned enough to get 50% off a kit. This month I've already earned a free kit! Whoo!
I just have to post some of the pages I did for the challenges this month.
You can view what I did for last month's challenges on my Picture Perfect page. And I'm thrilled... because I won the Layout of the Month last month with my Winter Wonderland layout! Whee! (note, all the kits listed except the DSE collect a kit can be purchased from IvyScraps... some are even free!).
That said, I have to post one last challenge entry... and this one is great for you, too. You see, Gloria is hosting a Shapes challenge on the forum, and with it she provides a shape for you to download, and you can either use it in a layout, or create some digi overlay, frame, or other embellishment with it. I decided... why not test my skills in making something for others to download? And so, here it is... my Love Clock! Just in time for February, too! ;)
You can download from Mediafire by clicking the link. Hopefully it works... this is my first time trying something like this.
Enjoy! And if you download, please leave some love in the comments! ;) Thanks!
So... now you know what I've been up to lately! Yup... lots of scrapbooking, haha.

2010 In a Post
2010 was a good year. I can hardly believe all the stuff that happened. Let me see...
I started something new on my blog... cleaning challenges. They kinda died out after summer. Oops.
I rediscovered the wonders of the LIST!
I published my second novel
Another 14 days of Valentines
I learned how to remove grape juice from cordoroy (why is this a big deal? I'm not sure)
I finished my children's book
I took a cake decorating class
I argued with me, myself, and I.
We got our camera fixed... in record time... and just in time for my mom's year late 50th birthday party.
I made my first baby quilt.
M started talking up a storm... and I began writing down some of the silly things she would say.
Doing a crazy amount of projects ... due to nesting.
I won a Sleepywrap at the Blog Party!
Having our wonderful baby boy! EEEE! Highlight of the year, no?
Finished a year of photos... and decided to leave it at that!
Poopy diapers, laundry piles, stacks of paperwork, dirty floors, piled up dishes... and all the other stuff that comes with being a mom... now of two...
Nursing and sleeping... and the lack thereof. Did I ever mention feeling like a cow?
Pictures, pictures, and more pictures.
Yardwork galore. Yes... galore. I think I went insane on the yard this year. But it was fun!
A book launch!
We dressed our family as the Toadstools for Halloween and my sister's Costume Party.
My sister got married, and I made her a wedding cake.
Christmas came and went in a flash...
And now we're here. It's 2011. A new year. My son is almost 8 months, my daughter is over two, and we are in a new year. How did this happen!
Happy New Year to all of you!

December Photo Overview
I realized I posted practically nothing about what happened in December... well, that's about to change! And I've got photos to boot! Woo Hoo! Lucky you! :) Aren't you glad you stopped by?
As usual, I had to do something crafty for Christmas. Besides baking, I did make some Hot Chocolate mix for family, and I repainted a table and chair set for my niece and nephew (love it... the black is actually chalkboard paint), made my yearly Star Wars ornament for my husband, and made hand and footprint ornaments with the kiddos. Grandparents got a footprint each. I kept M's hand print for myself... ;)
We found out that our popcorn popper had finally burnt out on us... after 7 years. And I wanted popcorn. So, we got ourselves a new one... movie style! I love it! M asks for 'copcorn' regularly now... and if we didn't regulate, I'm sure she would eat more of the stuff than I do! She loves watching it pop... who doesn't?
The first through fourth of the December we were at the Dairy conference in the city. The kids enjoyed themselves... as you can see below!
Bram did pretty well at the hotel. I think we did good bringing the mini humidifier along so we didn't have a repeat of last year (M woke every hour the first night due to dry air and it being so hot in there). I managed to do some work on the laptop... made our Christmas cards. And M... she loved the daycare. First thing she said when we walked into the hotel was 'play... toys'. And first thing she did when she got there was head for the dollhouse.
M got a couple of bells from the group that came and provided entertainment for the kiddos the night of the banquet. She called them her 'tinkerbells'. :)
The daycare was great! They remembered M from last year and were thrilled to see Bram as well, remembering that I had been expecting last year as well (and I can't even remember their names... how sad is that). Bram had fun chewing on whatever he could, and he loved being held. M tried sharing all the toys she could with him... except for the tiny teddy bear from the doll house. She clung to that thing almost the entire first day. She made lots of friends, too. It was funny watching some of the older girls there helping her paint and work with the play dough.
I did manage to take Bram's 7month photos... almost a week late, but I did get them. And Christmassy ones, too! He's sitting up so well already! Where has the time gone? Oh... and he's got four teeth, and is finally eating so many different foods!
M got to do so many different things this month. We played outside... briefly. She didn't care for walking through the snow and was NOT happy with me for trying to get her to make a snow angel next to me. She just wanted me to carry her everywhere. Maybe later. She washed dishes with her cousin and Grandma. She played with her play dough at home with cookie cutters and her rolling pin, and she painted clay ornaments.
I had to take a pic of my tree this year. I hope to have it somewhere else next year, but that depends on the renovations. We got a few 'family pictures' taken at the church with my flash-less camera. I am so upset that the thing had to die on me after such a short time. Yes... just over 1 year after purchasing, the flash quit working. It costs approximately $150 to fix. Not worth it. We figured we'd just buy a new one... more on that later.
And... the yearly tradition of making white cookies continues. Now I have a helper! She didn't ice any, but she stirred the dough for me, and enjoyed trying to put cookie cutters on it. And eating them, of course!
Christmas was busy. On Christmas Eve, we headed to my sister-in-law's house for some family festivities. The kids enjoyed unwrapping gifts, and M kept telling everyone "happy dirtday" whenever she saw a present. They got so many toys! Christmas really centered on them this year... although I guess that will happen when there are kids around. It was great!
Christmas morning was relaxing... as far as Christmas morning can be. M walked to the top of the stairs and saw the tree... and a plush Yoshi was placed inside, as well as two teddy bears that I didn't wrap but just put just in front of the tree itself. "Teddy Bear... Yoshi" was what I heard as I was scooping up Bram to bring downstairs. Before Hubs came inside from the barn, I managed to assemble the bears (they were the kind you stuff yourself and add a heart to and stuff). After breakfast we unloaded the stockings... M was trying to get to them long beforehand. She had a Hello Kitty toothbrush inside, and she could see Kitty poking out and wanted her SO badly. Out of all the toys she got, I think that toothbrush was her favorite, haha. She wouldn't let it go.
I got a few things from the MCC for cheap... and the kids loved them. The xylophone you see above was one of those items... $2. And I got her a vanity set (you can see the chair) for $3 from a garage sale. I think we only spent $40 total on the kids... and that includes two movies (new, $6 each) and a train set (new from Ikea... wood... $15).
Bram actually got in on the action and was playing with the toys as well. He's quite musical, would you believe. Loves the xylophone. That was one great buy!
I was sick on Christmas day... had to take a nap when the kiddos did. Managed to wake up in time to get them ready and head over to my parents. We spent a fun evening there eating appetizers and watching the kids open their gifts from the aunts and uncles. We gave our gifts to each other and to my parents, and then went to watch A Christmas Carol in my parents newly 'made' entertainment room. Insane! Of course, we put the kids to bed first. Did I mention we all stayed the night there? Yeah... it was crazy!
I was not feeling well, unfortunately. Didn't stay up to watch all of Elf... had to head to bed around 12 (Hubs didn't stay, he had chores to do the next morning so he went home). My kids were asleep thankfully, and so I joined them. Bram woke sometime during the night to eat, and then again at 7:30... only then he was angry and woke M... and my parents. Ah well. At least it was after 7. He wouldn't eat properly from me that weekend. My guess is that it was too busy, too much happening. It was rather frustrating.
Either way, boxing day morning had us making breakfast, then opening gifts from my parents. We played some games (Mad Gab is hilarious), and the guys ended up downstairs playing their Call of Duty on the Projector... I don't think I was downstairs much that day. It was fun, but tiring. The kids were ready for bed early.
Monday I felt much better after a good night's sleep... and took down all the Christmas decorations. We want to do renovations, so I figured the sooner that came down, the sooner I could completely empty the office, and the sooner we could rip down the ceiling. The next day we wanted to go to the city to take care of a few things. Bram woke up that day with a fever. It was not looking good. This was the only day that Hubs could take the evening off all week, and I didn't really like the idea of him going and leaving me behind... I hardly saw him as is. As it was, Bram's fever went down, and he was sleepy, but ok, so we went. I had him in the Sleepywrap the whole time we were in the mall, and he loved it. We also managed to nab a deal on a new car seat (rear and front facing) for him. He's grown out of the infant seat already...
A little Tims? Ok ok... it's actually water. She was asking for water.
Thankfully, Bram's fever didn't return. The rest of the week saw me cleaning house and reorganizing all sorts of things from the office... moving everything into the dining room. It's a little cramped.
I hope you all had a Merry Christmas! And a Happy New Year, too. Can you believe it's 2011 already?

It's a New Year
Happy New Year!!!
Anyway, I need to make some changes to my 101 list. Yeah... with 45 days left. I need to get one item done every 4 days to finish... and some of these will not happen... probably ever. So, a revision is necessary. I hope that's ok...
Here's the last 10 items
24. Clean out garage/storage behind/above garage - Just gonna do the garage where we park our car... not the entire 3 vehicle garage plus all the storage. It's not feasible. Most of the stuff back there I can't do anything with anyway. However, I can take care of the shelf in the garage. That shouldn't be too difficult.
47. Finish cross-stitch - Not happening. I had "Bake a wedding cake" on my new 101 list ages ago, so I'm gonna swap them and turn this one into baking a wedding cake... which means it's done as of Nov 26. Is that cheating?
58. Renovate office - It's cleared out!
60. Make kitchen curtain - I think I'll change this to romans... since I like them better for the kitchen
69. Wash carpets - Soon...
71. Learn to play guitar - How about I change this to attempt fiddling with the guitar, because that is hard enough for me to find time for... and do so at least 10 times? Sound good? Moving on...
75. Take a course in web design - Uh... I don't know that this is gonna happen. Maybe if I can find a one day course or something, sure, but otherwise no.
EDIT (jan 17, 2010): Along the same lines, but something I'm more interested in now than web design, is learning how to make digital scrapbook kits... maybe to sell in the future. My goal is to make one kit with 5 papers and 6 embellishments using a color scheme...
86. Go to Encounter or Empower Weekend - Won't happen... no weekends happening before my 1001 days is up. I'm not sure what to change this one to, either. I think I'd love to have a weekend spent doing something family oriented. No shopping, no facebook, etc. What would you call that? Ooh! A Winter Weekend! I want to do a winter weekend, where we play in the snow, go sledding/skating, drink hot chocolate, and spend time together as a family, time in prayer, etc. One whole day of just family things. I'd love that.
100. Get a massage
101. Create another 101 in 1001 list - working on it.
Ok... so that's my changes to my list. Now I wanna go scrapbook again. Later, everyone.
