Project 365 - Days 27 -29
Here are the last 3 days of Project 365.
Day 27 - June 27
We went to a birthday party and got dressed up... and I forgot to bring my camera. So, I got my hubby to take a pic of us at home. Don't we look great all match-y (sort of... I had jeans and red in mind, ha ha).
Day 28 - June 28
Baby in 'da hood!
Hahaha. This is my nephew holding baby M. Don't they look sweet in their hoodies?
Day 29 - June 29
I finally took Baby M's 9 month pics... 9 days late, but better late than never. I decided to go for a reading theme, since she's addicted to pulling all her books out of the bookshelf every chance she gets. I LOVE the dress I got her on our trip... isn't she the cutest? <3

Friday Finds
I'm so excited about today!
First, I managed to do our finances after taking care of the kiddo, watching her play as I worked. Yes... and she didn't get into any trouble! Then after putting her down for a nap I managed to weed the area by the new trees I planted a month ago (all 14 are growing nicely!), watered them, and my flowers by the house. I managed to do my 40 minute Turbo Jam workout before needing to make lunch (whew... I could feel the burn to say the least... all those lunges and squats...). After lunch we went to town... more specifically to Liquidation World. There were so many deals to be had!
The photo you see below is everything I got for $1. No joke. There were two bins, you got a bag from the front of the store and could fill it with anything in those bins and only pay $1! So I got 4 really bright flower pillow shams (perfect for a kids room), an orange paper folder, a queen bed skirt in blue and a striped blue twin bed skirt, an orange, yellow and red basket that matches a set of three I bought earlier, an ornament (I thought of someone when I saw this, so I'll be giving it to them later), some leather cleaner (I can try to use it on my rather bad looking jacket to see if I can get another year or two from it), 5 small pieces of different fabric (I think 2 of them are supposed to be table mats, and the other is an unfinished ironing board cover, but they are nice fabric), a cute decorative box (see my project 365 day 26 for the 'details' ha ha), and 3 bags of Easter grass. I'm pumped!
Yeah... I crammed that bag full!

I also got a few other things that were on sale. These items were 50% off, plus buy one get one free, so I got a cute box (which I already put together... ha ha) for princess dress up (there's enough there to dress as Belle, Cinderella, Snow White, or Aurora, including jewelry) and a cute pony costume that will fit Baby M for Halloween this year. Total was $12.50. The box of dress up stuff I'll be putting away until Baby M is a bit older, then it will make a good gift. I'd been eyeing that set for ages now... just didn't want to pay $25 for it. I remember wanting something similar to that when I was a kid.

After all those great deals, we came home and hubby worked... again. They are done the field, thankfully, and were able to cover the silage pile that same day (which hasn't happened... at least not since I've been here). Anyway, I didn't do too much in the afternoon except watch Baby M... who was fussing a lot for some reason (she's teething yet again). I did manage to finally pull out the sewing machine and put the edging on a blanket I've been working on for ages now. Voila! It is done!

You probably can't see it but I bought 2 packages of double bias tape in dark brown to sew along the edges of the blanket.

So, that's my day in a nutshell. I'm thinking it was a good day. I can't wait to rest!
Have a great weekend everyone!
Fabulous Friday
Time for my weekly check in yet again.
This week I attempted to do something completely different. I left Wii Fit alone and just did the old Turbo Jam DVD I had. It's been awhile. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday I did the Turbo Sculpt 40 minute strength training, plus a LOT of outside work. I didn't do any stretching really besides what little was on the DVD. Tuesday I did the 20 minute aerobic workout, and Thursday I did a LOT of walking around town. My eating is... OK. I'm still addicted to sugar, I'm just trying to eat less of it. I bought another dark chocolate bar (70%+ cocoa solids) and I'm limiting myself to one square a day (which is 37 calories). It helps stem my cravings... a little.
I've decided I'm gonna have one 'cheat' day per week. This is the day I won't worry about exercise (if I do something, great) or what I'll eat. I'll try to eat clean the rest of the week. I'm thinking I might make Sundays or Saturdays my cheat day. It'll be hard to pick just one.
I saw on a friend's blog that she's trying to do 100 push ups and sit ups in a row... a challenge of sorts. I'm going to look into this more and see if I can try for it. I should... it might be fun. Plus, it's a goal! One goal I really want to meet is to be able to touch my toes... let's put that in for now!
New Goal: Touch my toes - started on June 26, 2009, met on (date)
We'll see how this goes!
Here is my goal recap from last week:
Did I: Servings to meet: 2 fruit, 4+veggies, 5 grains, 2 meat (at least 2/week fish), 2 dairy, less than 1 other
Note: Did really well on this. My other came out to most days being only 1 or less servings. I think I want to have one ‘cheat’ day in my schedule… otherwise my goals will seem insurmountable. Sigh.
Did I: Workout at least ½ hour/day. Do strength training at least 3 times/week, aerobics daily, stretching/yoga daily,
Note: Didn’t do the yoga daily, but did the strength and aerobics
Did I: Work outside a few hours.
Note: Yup
Did I: Lose an inch.
Note: Lost ½ an inch
New Measurements
29” - narrowest part/waist
35.5” - across my belly and love handles
40” - on my butt and hips.
35” - on my chest
22” - right thigh
137lbs - weight
lost ½ inch, lost 1lb
I'm just glad I didn't gain any inches. The weight I'm not overly concerned, as it fluctuates around the same values, so that is OK, but the inches... I'm hoping to lose more. Total lost in the last three weeks is about 2.5 inches... none really in the belly area which is my trouble spot. That is where I WANT to lose the inches. Ah well, I've got a number of weeks to go.
I'm really hoping to tone up.
