I have been learning about the tummy movements that occur when there is a little person growing inside. I've had plenty of movements before, but the baby just keeps on going! It's quite humorous. The other day when cuddling with hubby, baby decided that daddy was too close and hoofed him in the back. We were in bed, and normally that means hubby is out cold, but I heard him say right afterward "I felt that!". I've taken to watching my belly too. It's interesting to see the little bumps and rolls across an area that usually just sits there, doing nothing. What's real interesting is when I'm not looking at all and I see my whole stomach move like that.
My last prenatal visit showed me baby's heart rate of 135. I'm not gaining a whole lot, although I feel like I'm eating crazy amounts, and have gained a total of 9lbs from my pre-pregnancy weight. Baby is obviously doing well, what with all the acrobatics being performed in my little stomach... which many have said looks small for 7 months pregnant... however I'm not concerned because I am 'tall'... and my doctor isn't concerned, so why should I be?
Baby seems content to keep me up at night, lol. I recently tried something someone I met at a wedding I attended this weekend suggested. She said to either try a warm bath, or a warm pack on the stomach area to "calm" baby down. I did so last night, and slept rather well. Baby still moved around 11pm like normal, but I had just applied the pack then, so it was expected. However, I didn't awaken from kicks. It may be the pack soothed baby, but it may also have helped soothe me. Either way, I plan to do so again tonight. Now if only I could "soothe" my brain so it would shut up and let me sleep!! ;)
Anyone else up for a brownie batter blizzard?
