Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing. Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.
Psalm 100
Currently I have this song in my head:
Lord, You are more precious than silver.
Lord, You are more costly than gold.
Lord, You are more beautiful than diamonds,
And nothing I desire compares to You.
I love this song. It reminds me of Bible camp and sunday school. Childhood. There's just something about childhood that brings back so many wonderful feelings. I have wonderful parents that enriched our childhood with time spent doing things together, taking us to church, sunday school, Awana, sharing Bible stories, showing us the love of our Father through themselves... I am thankful for that. I want to instill this same love of the Father in my little girl as she grows up. I want to do things with her that don't necessarily break the bank as our family didn't have a lot of extra money, but things that are memorable and show our love of her and of God. You don't need money to have fun and create great memories. My family proved that time and time again. I am thankful for my family... not just the immediate family, but our extended family as well. They made my life memorable in so many good ways.
I am thankful for the time my husband has spent with me this week. We had another wedding this weekend, and I am thankful that we were able to go. It was lovely, the bride was beautiful, and you could see the groom was thrilled to pieces! Hubby and I also had fun with Marin... nothing overly special necessarily, just spending time with her. She makes the cutest faces. I can't resist her. We gave her her first 'water bath' this week, and intend on making it a daily routine before bed. She sleeps well afterward. Sponge baths just aren't as nice for her (can you say... COLD). We found a temperature she likes now too. And we also did hand and foot prints and put them in frames. Now I need to mount them. They are so cute... I think she'll be thrilled to see them when she is older.
I am thankful for my ACC friends around the world. ACC is a website, animal crossing community, which is a site for those of us who play the video game animal crossing. The DS version allowed you to visit other towns, and there are a group of women I'm a part of that love to chat with each other. They were all so happy for me being pregnant again that they sent us gifts and cards. One card in particular they sent from one to the other, till everyone signed it. They also put the stamps and address labels from each of them into a bag to 'prove' it had made it's rounds around the world. That is so super sweet, and it really made my day! I've recieved many gifts from them as well. The group gifts were the hand/foot print set, and a 1 year picture frame (take a pic each month to put in) that is absolutely gorgeous. I also recieved some baby clothes. Marin is one lucky little girl. I am so thankful for my ACC friends and the love they have shown me and my family!
So, what are you thankful for this week? :) It's amazing how much we have to thank our heavenly Father for!
