More 101 in 1001 updates!

So, I've done quite a bit more in the 101 department. I'm quite happy about it too!

Last night my hubby and I finished reading the book of Daniel, which was the last book I needed to finish reading to have read through the entire Bible... and I did it in a year (since I started May 20 of 2008)! I'm reading Matthew yet again, and enjoying it... again. So, #87, read the entire Bible, is done.

Also, I finally finished another book. Yeah, the goal of 5 books in almost 3 years seems... easy... but for some reason I've been finding it difficult to sit down and read a book I've never read before. It might be easier once I finally go visit the library (another one of my goals), but anyway, we've been given a few books as gifts, and I've read them. One is called "On Becoming Babywise" by Ezzo and Buckham, which is really good (finished that back in September). It helps you develop a routine with your child to help them get proper sleep. And my daughter gets good sleep! I haven't had a real problem at night yet (except the odd night, but that hasn't been for a few months now). Nothing like having your child sleep 11-12 hours a night to make you happy... and them too. The other book I recently finished is called "Shepherding your Child's Heart" (I'll have to post the author later, as hubby is reading it now). Another very good book about discipline. My parents followed the advice in that book when disciplining me, so a lot of it just clicks and makes so much sense. My husband had a very different disciplinary pattern, so we hope to get on the same page (haha) when it comes to disciplining our own kids.

Anywho, the next goal I wish to talk about is #96, go to 3 different restaurants we've never been to. Why did it take so long to go to one? I have no clue. For our anniversary (I will post more on that later) my hubby took me to a restaurant called "Hu's on First: Asian Cuisine". Wow. Just wow. That is some good food! It was a bit pricier than we normally do, but it was well worth it. So, that goal is 1/3 done, haha.

We've also gone to a zoo and seen a musical, but I will post separately on those as well, because I have pictures (ok, not of the musical... no cameras allowed). Lots in one weekend, no?

And goal # 26... the last of my financial goals... is gonna be completed this week! Woo Hoo!

Then there's goal #6, set a monthly date night. That one took awhile. We did fine may-july, missed aug, sept, did again oct and nov, missed december and january, and now, finally, we did it. February for Valentine's we went to a church dinner and dance while the munchkin stayed home with her aunty. March we had a night in... put her to bed early and had pizza and a movie together (that counts as a date, right?). April, even though I was sick, I was not gonna miss out. So, we got my hubby's sis to babysit and watched Monsters vs Aliens 3D in the theatre. And this last weekend my sweety took me to see Pirates of Penzance after a lovely meal at a new (for us)restaurant. It was awesome. Now to continue planning date nights.

Anyway, how are you doing on your own goals? Are you doing a 101 in 1001? It's a lot of fun! Really! :) Nothing like checking off goals like that, one by one, for the blogosphere to see!

You have gotten A LOT accomplished recently! (I know what you mean about finding new restaurants, it's harder than it sounds!)

I love your list, and I gotta say, yours inspired mine quite a bit. Can't wait to see the zoo pictures!
