I still don't know what I'm going to call this weekly post, but I kinda like this title, so that's what it is this week.
Anyway time for a recap of my week.
Did I: Meet my servings? Servings to meet: 2 fruit, 4+veggies, 5+grains, 2 meat (at least 2/week fish), 2 dairy, less than one "other",
Notes: need less other... lots less, more meat (did have 2 of fish), less white grains, my fruit/veggies were good (except need more blue/purple fruit/veggies), and dairy is ok.
New goal: 2 fruit, 4+veggies, 5 grains, 2 meat (at least 2/week fish), 2 dairy, less than 1 other
Did I: Workout at least ½ hour/day. Do strength training at least 3 times/week, aerobics daily, stretching/yoga daily,
Note: Missed working out sometimes, did the strength though, need to do more workouts, harder ones too.
Did I: Work outside more.
Note: yes. Continue
Did I: Lose an inch.
Note: only lost half an inch. Bummer
New Measurements
29.5” - narrowest part/waist
35.5” - across my belly and love handles
40” - on my butt and hips.
35” - on my chest
22” - right thigh
138lbs - weight
Lost 1/2inch, gained 1.5lbs
Sigh. This isn't working very well. I have to change my workout regimen.
I need motivation to work out. I have been having a hard time getting motivated at all. I want to start doing an old video I have... called Turbo Jam. I haven't done it for over 2 years, and did it again on Wednesday. It was more fun, but it's hard to do with a baby getting in the way.
Anybody else having trouble getting motivated to exercise? What have you done to help?
As for food, my weakness right now is cookies and sweets. I love my oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. Nice thing with them is that they are whole wheat and a lot of fibre (and I add much less sugar). Although... they still have chocolate chips and I really shouldn't eat so many of them. At least my sugar is kinda healthy, right?
Anyway, that's it for now. I hope to lose a bit more this next week...

Hey Sab, looks like we have similar measurements... and love of baked goods. I don't have "love handles", I have "love-of-chocolate handles".
I think the Shred would really fit in good with your goals. It's got a great strength component, leaves me covered in sweat AND IS ONLY 20 MINUTES LONG.
And it's only $14.98 CDN at Chapters.
Hey, half an inch is great, Sab!
I never have any motivation to work out. Sigh.
I know you're probably sick of hearing about the Shred but it is keeping me motivated. The whole challenge to do it 30 days in a row is enough to help me stay on track. With a normal video I feel like oh, who cares if I do it today.
Don't worry Sab. I had a hard time getting motivated to get going as well. But luckily for me, my horse needs workouts as well, so that's where my workout came from. Me and Keith have also been trying to eat healthier, and it seems to be working. Keep going girl! You can do it!!
