An Outdoorsy Day

Monday was an outdoorsy kinda day.

The mosquitoes weren't very nice, but Baby M and I soaked ourselves in sunscreen and repellent and went outside anyway. I worked on my flower garden a bit while she crawled around, played in the grass, the dirt, the tiles...

The spiders have been crazy lately, meaning a lot of spider web cleanup for me. Baby M didn't mind. More time for her to be outside, right?

Lots was going on that day. My husband was on the field, trying to get the last of the bales done and the barley off before the rain that was supposed to be coming on Tuesday (and come it DID). The trucks were going back and forth across the property. Baby M would stop and stare whenever one drove by. Thankfully that is all she did. I think she's gotten used to them.

Instead, she preferred to stay near the front door where I was working... trying to help me with my flowers I suppose. I was glad I cleared out the webs first as she was poking her hands and arms through everything. Would you believe she was surprisingly gentle? She only pulled off one of my petunia flowers... the rest she just touched.
Yup. It was an outdoorsy kind of day.

You have such a beautiful front yard! I love that last picture of Baby M with the flowers. She's so sweet!
