I am excited.
Why am I excited?
Well, there is a lot to be excited about! First, Christmas is coming! It's only 12 days away! Which is crazy! And I'm almost done my gifts! Whoopee!!!
Second, I've been feeling Junior wiggling and flipping and squirming a lot more lately! I also found out that I WILL be having an ultrasound (since I asked for it, my doctor doesn't think they are necessary unless there is a concern, but he will schedule one if you want it) on January 6th!
Third, things are just great. It's a good day. It will be a good week. You know, you just feel good? Much better than my last post about feeling depressed about things, right? I can't explain this feeling either, and I don't want to. I just want to feel it!
And Fourth... my list is almost complete.
There is something about me and lists.
You could call me crazed... or obsessed... or a list-aholic... and I would probably agree with you.
I LOVE lists.
I adore checking off every little thing
I love organizing them into categories
I love having different lists for weekly things, daily things, and other things
Christmas is the time for the King of Lists!
My list had 50 items on it. F-I-F-T-Y. I made it on Sunday 4 weeks ago. 41 items are done... I wish to complete the other 9 this week. I even made a list on top of my list of the number of things I checked off my list each of the five weeks until Christmas. Lost you? Yeah... I'd scan it and show it to you, but I don't want anyone to see what they'd be getting for Christmas quite yet. You know how it is. Anyway, I went over my list today. It's separated into categories... Decorating, Shopping (for craft supplies), Gifts (ideas for things to make for whom), Baking, Wrapping, Organizing (solely for my own sanity... a few projects I've been putting off for awhile), Cards (as in handmade, photos, numbers, lists of whom to give to, and so on), etc.
Yeah... crazy.
Well, I went through and figured out how many gifts I've made to determine how many I'd have to wrap (am I strange or what) and since we wrapped 8 yesterday (I've only wrapped one besides the birthday gift, which was NOT included in this list, on Friday) and I did 7 more today, I determined that all the 'paper wrapped' gifts are now done. Now for the rest of the baked goods and the other two gifts I have left to make... to go in bags (or in the case of my daughter's, wrapped in a blanket).I can still hardly believe it... really. My tree has so many gifts underneath it that I feel full of blessings! Only 3 were purchased. I haven't even done my husband's gifts yet, and he hasn't wrapped what he's gotten me (surprise! He's done his shopping! I still haven't gotten/made his gift yet... oops... too busy crafting).
So... not much left to do. And when I'm done, I wish to share my handmade Christmas with all of you! I've been taking pics of everything just for that reason... and I hope I remember how to make it all by then, ha ha.
Ooh... now to check more off my list...
Do you think they have a listmaker's anonymous group somewhere?

I make never-ending lists. I start out with a few things, add some more, cross off the 'easy' ones, lose my list, make another, find the original and amalgamate the two (or three), add some more items, cross off a couple, add some things I've already done just so I can cross them off, look at what I still have to do, make some notes which end up as new items ... perhaps there is also a group for listmakers like me?
I'm just now getting caught up on your posts... I love the swimming one! (Though I am very very glad you're feeling cheerier today, hehe.)
Anyway, I am just like you as far as lists go. I make lists of lists I need to make! And yes, there are few greater feelings than checking stuff OFF those lists, haha. If you find an "LMA" group, let me know! Haha!
