101 Update

It has been awhile since I've updated my 101. I've gone through my list and made some changes to a few of the items. While I didn't change them much, I did make a modification or two to make them work with my... current pregnant situation (and nursing situation after that, and having two babies situation until this list is timed out).

So, without further ado...
Current 101 changes
#10Was visit forks with parents and buy something. I'm changing it to visit forks with another couple and buy something. See? Not a big change... it's just a bit easier to make the couple more generalized in the long run. I've been wanting to change this one for months now and just didn't do it on the list itself.

#35. Was do a colon cleanse for 1 month. Since I cannot do this one while pregnant OR nursing (which will be happening till the end of my 1001 days), I'm changing this to having one full month without any sweetened beverages (only water, milk, unsweetened tea). And, I've started this one on the 12th, so we'll see how it goes.

#58. Was remove main floor stipple. Another impossibility with really young kids... especially since one of the rooms is completely open! I'm changing it to renovate office.

#73. Was take a dance class with hubby. He's really uninterested... and it's very expensive paying for two people. So, I decided to change it to take a dance class.

And now, for the 101 items I've actually completed and haven't posted about yet!

#10. Visit The Forks with another couple and buy something - Yeah... I just changed this one, and we just did it on the 17th!
It was great. Went with my sister and her boyfriend. Baby M was a little discontent, but she has been now for a few weeks (and I have no idea why). She DID eat the food we gave her, which made me happy (that has been the major issue as of late). We ate lunch at the Old Spaghetti Factory, went for a walk outside, looked at the shops inside, and I bought myself a mood ring (always wanted one since I was little, never got one). They had an ice play yard for the kiddos, and I thought of letting Baby M sit on them or something, but she was tired and wouldn't even look at them, so I left it. Summer at the Forks will be a lot easier (and fun too, I'm sure!).

#14. Work on a puzzle together –Did this on January 3rd. Was a little disappointed that I was the one doing most of the puzzle, but that is OK. It's something my husband isn't interested in either. Oh, and it was missing a piece. Really frustrating.

18. Go to 5 Dairy/Farm meetings or seminars – On January 13 I went to the fifth one since I started this 101. I must say, going to these things when you have a kid is not easy. I did enjoy learning a bit on calf management and health, and I wish to perhaps take over in that area on our farm... once I have time to do so.

23. Start family farm meetings (to occur quarterly) – On January 12th we had our first quarterly meeting! And we've decided to continue on a quarterly basis. Now I just have to write in reminders for April, July, and October for this year. :) Another one done!

30. Bring baked goods to others 4/5 - Just did the fourth one on Saturday the 16th. Can't you tell I've been busy? A good friend of ours got into an accident (thankfully, she's ok. No broken bones or anything. The doctor couldn't believe it), and my husband wanted to bring their family a meal (since she still has her husband and kids to take care of and is so sore so he's been making dinner... ordering out and having KD and stuff *smile*). I thought that sounded great. But, like we figured, they had one condition... which was that we would eat it with them. So, hubby and I made stew in the crock pot that morning, and I made them 3 dozen cookies as well. And now the kids have something for lunches for a little while (hopefully).

76. Learn to play ocarina - I've been working on this one for awhile, but haven't been playing often enough to really say I'd learned it. This last week I played at least half and hour total (or more, maybe an hour, Baby M really liked it). All sorts of things too... with no music. I have a book it came with, and it's real easy to play according to that book, but I wanted to play stuff Baby M would like, so I also did The Farmer in the Dell, Twinkle Twinkle, Mary had a Little Lamb, a Lullaby, and various other kids songs (as I could think of them). She would perk up the second she recognized one, and I'm certain she tried to sing along to one or two. I figure that after this week, I pretty much know how to play it. It's not like it's difficult, either.

88. Do 3 separate 1-week TV/movie fasts – As you know, we were on a media fast of sorts this last week. I have to say, it was a bit harder than I thought it would be. One week without Internet wasn't too bad (difficult, but not too bad), but for some reason I had a harder time without the TV than I ever thought I would. I've been using it as one of my main outlets into the real world... watching reno shows and the Mom show, while watching my lil girl play. Instead, I was playing on the floor with her (which was really tuckering me out after awhile, ahaha). I LOVED playing with her and interacting with her more, but I tell you, running after a toddler and pushing her around on her car can be tiring! Especially with another kiddo kicking your innards every few minutes! That said, this last week was good. I wish my husband and I would have had more time together, but he spent a lot of his reading his book, while I either watched Baby M, or made more lists (hahaha). I didn't have any books to read. Maybe I should buy some more... Anyway, I got a LOT done this last week, which is a LOT more than I would have done if I didn't have the stipulation of no TV or Internet. Which is good.

And now for the two items I hope to finish by the end of the month.
21. Do farm historical analysis for 2008 - I've been working on this one a LOT this last week (ok... month) and I'm SO CLOSE. I know I've said that before, but I'm even closer now. And I'm working on 2009 as well as my 2010 farm plan.

50. Publish second book - Part of this may depend on my sister having read the book. I've finished the first publication phase, and have a little fix to do on the cover, plus anything else my sis may find once she's read it. If she hasn't read it by the end of the month, I may just give it a quick once over and publish it anyway. I don't want to be waiting too long, or I'll forget to do it like last time (she read the first book quick, but I kept forgetting to get the fixes from her, and we ended up losing them along the way).

Whew. Quite the list. And I have pictures for some of these things... which blogger is not letting me load right now. Blogger seems to be acting up at the moment, so I'll have to add the photos later (of the Forks ice area, and the puzzle). So, how are you doing on your 101 list? Have you started one? It's a lot of fun, no joke!

64 down, 37 to go! (and 393 days to do it in)

What a list!!
I've thought about starting a 101 list, but then decided I should work on general tasks (like my cleaning list) for a while first! LOL

I love the Old Spaghetti Factory. We used to eat there all the time when we lived in Vancouver - yum! :)

You have made incredible progress! I keep meaning to post my own updates (when I started I planned to do them on the 5th of every month) but I keep missing it and then waiting to cross "just one more thing off" first, haha.

I could never give up sweetened beverages. GOOD LUCK! And I'm glad you survived the week without TV, too, haha. It's good to have you back! ;-)

You, uh, seem to have a thing for lists, eh?

(Am I the only one who, when making lists, will write a couple things down that are already done just so I have something to cross off?? Yeah, I'm pathetic.)

Speaking of lists, my list for today is as long as my arm... and not getting any shorter while I spend/waste time online!
