Life is Good

Well, I've finally managed to catch up reading on everyone's blogs! I did catch up earlier, but then more was written and I had to catch up again (smile). Sorry I didn't comment a whole lot... blogger was acting up a while ago and wouldn't load anything. Sigh.

My daughter has finally quieted down for her nap. I tell you, I had no idea that cribs with pillows could be so much fun! She was squealing with glee when I put her in there... an hour ago. I even went up to check on her (it's difficult to tell the difference between 'squeals of glee' and 'screams of terror' in the monitor sometimes... and I would prefer to check just in case). No problems... just having fun rolling around, standing and falling onto her pillows... having a ball. Good for tiring herself out for a nap, I guess. :)

Anyway, guess what happened yesterday!

C'mon... guess!

Have you guessed yet?

Ok, I'll just tell you.

I SAW the baby kick. At 26 weeks! I can't remember when that happened with my daughter (I know I wrote it down, too) but I'm sure it was later than that. At least... I think so. Anyway, I was all excited! I called my husband over to see, and at that exact moment, just like Baby M did, the kiddo stopped. Completely. No movement (and it had been happening for a couple of minutes straight just before). Poor daddy.

Baby has been doing somersaults and squirmy acrobatics for a while now. It's so funny! I love this stage of pregnancy!

As for cravings... yeah. Funny thing, that. With my daughter I craved things like Caesar salad and bread sticks from Pizza Hut (only craving I can really remember... and just after coming back from our Dominican trip, where they didn't have a good salad, and my husband wouldn't get it for me... and we were RIGHT THERE!). Oh, and I ate a lot of strawberries with ice cream or yogurt (literally... over half the bowl was strawberries). And snacked on celery with peanut butter, carrot sticks, things like that. I sometimes would go to the kitchen for cookies, open the container, then close it again and get water instead.

Not with this lil guy.

Nope... I'm ALL about the sweets! Give me cookies, chocolate, bread, buns, and baked goods galore! Fruit is great, sure, but fruit in bread is even better! Bring on the carbs! I'll eat them all! (goodness sakes, I'll even eat doughnuts, and my husband just looks at me and shakes his head, because I've not wanted a doughnut since I got pregnant with Baby M!)

I just hope I can work all this off after I'm done! I'm still eating my fruits and veggies (although I have to either force myself to, or make them in casseroles, or make them fresh as I don't seem to care for the ones from the bags in the freezer for some reason). It's just not as easy to eat 'well' with this lil one! I don't understand it!

Anyway, I'm off to make some apple crisp, and maybe a lemon square, for dessert with our Bible Study tonight. Mmm, lemon square will taste so good after eating the salmon I plan on trying to make for supper! Glad I already did my workout for today...

I want a cookie...
