Work, work, work...

It's a new week, and therefore, a new list! (do I hear groans in the background? I know I'm sort of groaning inside).

Last week went well for me. I got everything done that I wanted to, including a rather large project... the kids book. This week is my last cake decorating class, which means that my lists will decrease even more in that regard (now if I have baking on my list, it'll be for freezing for the month after baby is born). I'm also planning on changing things for myself a bit in April... seeing as I'll be 8-9 months pregnant at that time and not in the mood to do as much exercise and 'hard' work. There will still be a few items on my lists that will be more strenuous, but not as bad as my previous lists have been.

So, for March 21-27 I am focusing in the bedrooms. The challenge... to clean the bedroom windows!

To Do
  1. sweep
  2. vacuum
  3. bathrooms
  4. laundry
  5. exercise (Mon, Wed, Fri)
  6. farm books
  7. personal books
  8. windows/mirrors (all dirty mirrors, and all bedroom windows/mirrors)
  9. baseboards/trim (bedrooms)
  10. dust (bedrooms)
  11. diaper pail
  12. organize in bedrooms (under crib, bedside tables)
  13. flip mattress/swap bedding
  14. make cradle mattress
  15. pick up and wash crib
  16. is cradle done? Set up
  17. scrapbook 2 digital pages
  18. make a few paper scrapbook pages for preg album
  19. finish quilt
  20. complete cake for class 4
  21. start making meals to freeze (casserole (meat on mon, potatoes on tues, make on sat), meatless lasagna x2 (thurs), homemade mac n cheese (wed))
  22. pull out 0-3mo clothes
  23. espress mail camera out to be fixed (back already!!)
  24. 'purchase' book proof
  25. bake biscuits (do double batch; some pigs in blankets, regular, and cinnamon rolls)
  26. sew church blanket

I went a bit crazy on the windows this week already. I haven't been doing our outside windows (due to needing a ladder for most of them, and it being too cold to clean them properly anyway). Today was beautiful... above 0 deg C! So, I opened the two bedroom windows that are on the second floor and proceeded to clean the outside from the inside. Don't worry, the only part of me that was actually 'outside' was my arm (and a quick-made apparatus for reaching the farther corners of the windows). I cannot reach these windows from outside anyway. They haven't been properly cleaned in years now, due to that fact. The ladder we have doesn't go high enough (and it goes pretty high) and I am not comfortable on it when it's completely stretched to the limit anyway. So, this is the first time in years I've seen these windows completely clean! And I am thrilled! Let the sun shine in! Oh, and as for dusting, since I needed my stepladder for the windows anyway, I used it to get the top shelves of our bedroom bookshelves... they look so nice and clean, now (even though you can't see them anyway, ha ha).

So, how did you do last week? Did you get most of your list done? Did you make a list (sometimes it's nice not to bother... although I haven't done that now for sooooo long... I'm SUCH a planner)? How much more sun do you feel you get with the windows getting cleaned room by room (I SO want to do all my windows outside now... they look SO much better... I wonder if I can just go buy a squeegee to do them with...)?

Good Luck this week! :)

Sometimes I look at your lists and I can't believe it when I come back later and you say that you finished everything on them! WOW!~ You are rocking!

I am spring cleaning too, but I swear I have to redo EVERYTHING once the schoolbus pulls up for the day...ugh!

I went NUTS this weekend, Sab, you would be so proud! I completely re-did all the lists that have gotten so discombobulated over the last few weeks, and re-arranged stuff into all new categories (daily tasks, weekly tasks, monthly tasks, quarterly tasks, 101 in 1001 projects, other short-term projects, other long-term projects...)

I know, I probably sound like a crazy person! But I feel so much better! ;-)

This week my to-do list has over 30 things on it (not including weekly chores)! Finally getting organized on paper again got me TOO motivated I think, haha. But the good news is that I have almost half of the projects done already! And it's only Monday!

I am way too excited for my own good. But I have to admit... I think I need a weekend from my weekend, haha. And I'm STILL not done with these dang windows!!!

You make me tired just reading your lists! :-)

WHERE do you get all your energy?

You completely rock but I hope you're also taking time to rest.
