So, this week has been the week for appointments. Yesterday I had my Doctor appointment, in which he determined my fundal height actually went down a bit from the previous appointment, so he booked me for a fetal assessment which was today in the city. Yup, another ultrasound! I didn't know what a fetal assessment was exactly, figured it was similar to an ultrasound, and was correct. Everything is good, baby is a bit small but still "well within the parameters of normal" at an estimated 3lbs. He/she caused difficulties again... head is in a position that made it really hard for the lady to get a skull measurement. I got to see the profile though! So cute. And the pic above? It's the foot! :) Right up near my stomach... meanwhile the other leg and foot was down by baby's face. Dad was there with me and was able to see baby. Now he's gonna tell mom he got to see his grandchild before she did! ;)Today I also had a dental appointment earlier in the morning. Sigh. I have a cavity on my wisdom tooth, meaning it needs removing. So, after baby is born sometime, I'll have to make an appointment to have it removed. Goodbye wisdom tooth... you've served me well... sniff. Ok ok, it's more a matter of "aah! I'm gonna have a tooth pulled" than anything else. Right after that appointment I had a chiropractic one, in which my lower back didn't want to move very well, meaning I need to go in again next week. Sigh. At least I enjoyed seeing baby today!
I still have a lot of work that needs doing. Dad and I are going to work on the banister and railing, but he hurt his back so things are postponed a bit. Chuck and I got all the rug off the stairs on Monday which was quite the task. Lots of staples to pull, and the side nosings were torture! It's off now, which is good. Yesterday, mom came down to help me get rid of the trash from the baby room which has been sitting downstairs in the spare room for months now, and the stair carpet. Gone! That room now has nothing in it but the disassembled crib (waiting for the baby room to be finished to go in it's place) and the casings and baseboards ready to start painting. I'm thinking of starting on that today, but I'm not sure. I have so much other stuff I want to do yet and only so much time to do it. I can always wait to do so tomorrow... then get the whole thing done in one shot! ;) Oh, I also got my "window mirror" fixed. I got it at a garage sale 5 years ago, knowing I wanted it in my hall/stairway, and took it apart and painted it... but now I needed the mirror properly mounted. Headed to my aunt's framing shop in town and got it done while buying some pre-cut matts for some frames I wish to put up soon too. It looks SO nice! I need the wall mounts for it, and then I can put them in and wait till the rug is in to just hang it up. It will look awesome!
Anyway, that's my exciting last few days. I can't wait to post pics of the finished hall and baby room... meaning they'll be finished! ;)
