So, tomorrow morning we'll be heading out on a road trip (to Duluth, then Minneapolis, so not too far this time)! I'm so excited! I LOVE road trips. No, we haven't packed everything yet (our lil girl's got all her stuff packed... I think...), but that's ok... I got the list made, and most everything ready to go. I made a list of what we have to do before we leave the house too... as usual... so that it is in perfect shape when we get home (no stinky garbage or dishes in the sink, that sort of thing). I'm bringing a lunch to help decrease the cost for that first day... a bit... yeah. And get rid of a few things in our fridge (I always clean out the fridge as best I can before we go anywhere... no nasty surprises when we get home). I can't believe how much more you need to pack up when you have a baby. Who ever knew such a tiny lil one would need so much... STUFF! Mainly because we won't be doing laundry... I tried to pack light.
Anyway, today was busy. I planted my trees! Yup, all of them (I think 16?)! Now I have chokecherry trees around the front portion of my yard! Yippee! I also did all the laundry, cleared out the fridge, started packing, and did a whole bunch of other things to get ready. Yeah. Road trips bring about all sorts of 'last minute' finish-things-up-that-shoulda-been-done-weeks-ago type stuff. At least I won't have to worry about it when we get back.
As for posting... I may not this week. Depends on if we decide to bring the laptop or not. We did last time we went on a road trip (2 years ago), and while I don't mind bringing it, I'd rather not so we have less to bring in general. I'm a light packer to-the-extreme (on our vacation we only had one carry on and one suitcase between us... due to me paring down what we would have brought). My husband is too, but not as extreme as me. I can live 'without', and he says it would be much better 'with'. He's usually right... but so am I. (haha)
Alas, I must end this post. I have lots of packing to do (which is easier now that the munchkin is sleeping). Lots. As in all of our stuff. It shouldn't take too long... (shifty eyes)
Did I mention that I love lists!? :)
Have a great week/weekend!!
(I still can't believe we're leaving tomorrow! Crazy!)

Oh that sounds like fun! You guys have a blast and tell us all about it when you get back! And I want to see pictures of those choke cherry trees...16! Wow!
I pack EVERYTHING! I Overpack! I am always afraid I have forgotten something:)
You and I are two peas in a pod, haha. Currently I have lists of stuff to do before we move (such as transferring our cable), stuff to do right AFTER we move (such as cleaning the oil stains off the new driveway), people who need to be contacted with our new address, high priority fixes that need to be done immediately (such as re-keying the locks), medium priority tasks that should be completed within two or three months, long-term plans (like new countertops!), all the things I need to buy for the new place (like a garden hose and a lawn mower)... You name it, I've got a list for it!
I hope you have a great road trip! Take lots of pictures for us! :-)
Have a great trip away. There's something incredibly liberating about throwing everything into a car and heading off!
How in the world do you have so much energy? 16 trees?!? WOW. I did 3 in one day and i thought I was going to fall over and DIE. Have a safe trip!
How did your trip go? I'm always filled with a sense of adventure as we head out on the open road... even if it's to go somewhere we've been a dozen times. :)
Hello Neighbor! Just saw your post over on the Fabulous N Fit by Fall challenge... was checking out your post. I live over in Minot, ND... so we must be fairly close since I see you were shopping in Duluth.
I am in the same boat you are with the weight loss area... I have already reached my goal weight but looking to continue my journey of being more fit... I'd love to join forces with you and support each other in the journey...
