An Update

So this was one busy weekend! Sorry, this post will be photo overload, but that's OK, right? ;)

First of all, Friday was the parade. It was a lot of fun, even under an umbrella. I had to feel sorry for those in the parade who had nothing to protect themselves with...

There's always the band... I love the bands.
This was one of my fave floats... probably because I love ladybugs and butterflies and all things green, ha ha.

This was for one of the local Bible camps. Note the fire... hence the photo!

And here were some guys doing judo right on the float itself. It sounded like a hard hit. Really hard. Ouch!

These were the luckiest kids of all... in a hot tub on a cool rainy day under a large umbrella... sigh!

I thought this was just too cute! Little JD wagon! :)

Later that afternoon, my parents, myself, and my daughter and niece went to the mall. We put the girls on the donkey ride. Niece A loved it. Baby M wasn't too sure at first....

But ended up laughing at Niece A's squeals of glee as grandma held her on!

My niece loved the animals at the petting zoo in the mall. I love fairs... so much for kids to do and see!

And I adore baby chicks!

Saturday we spent at home for the most part, then when it was time, we headed to my cousin's wedding. He looks sharp, as did all the other cousin boys that were in the party. And the bride was just beautiful!

Baby M got a piggyback ride on grandpa's shoulders. Yeah.. all his hair got lazy and decided to go down to the bottom of his head instead... ha ha. Baby M seems to like his bald head!

And here she is again, my pride and joy, in her cute lil white dress and shades!

We went to the petting zoo again and she got to see the bunnies!

Then, Sunday, we went for a picnic and bike ride (yeah, a picnic! I can cross that off on my 101 list now!). I brought Baby M's food along... we were going to quickly feed her before leaving, but she had fallen asleep in the car on the way to the house where I was going to need to make the food yet. So, we let her sleep. It is a bit difficult feeding a baby on the ground when there is so much else to see! Especially with a dog nearby... she LOVES dogs!
Next up was a bike ride. I managed to take pics while cycling... I was pretty impressed with myself!

So here's one with me in it... sorta.

Baby M loves the bike ride... she had her tongue hanging out like a dog. It was sometimes rather freaky... that is one long tongue! We had people laughing as we biked past them.

This is one of the city's decorating techniques I guess... loads of shoes hanging from a wire next to an overhead bridge that went across one of the bike/walk paths. Kinda cool, actually. There was a group of blue ones, a group of pink and yellow, and green too.

See the tongue again? Yeah... I thought it funny too!

Here is a closeup of part of the coat of arms for the city. It was from 1884, I believe.

This building is a French restaurant in the park we cycled in. It is beautiful... and pricey.

The duck pond is always a hit. This bird won't have to worry about food for awhile!

For supper we went to Mongo's. Such good food! We think we'll go again, for lunch next time as it's much cheaper, but Baby M enjoyed it too. Look at her eating those noodle sticks (I cannot remember what they are called)!

After such a long day (and weekend) it was only natural to have Baby M fall asleep as we headed home. We were going to go to BDI for ice cream... but she was so peaceful we couldn't bear to wake her to take her out of the car... so we went home instead and put her to bed early.
My sweet little munchkin!
So, on the 101 list, I've done one part of #95: Go to 3 Different Festivals/Fairs, part of #96: Go to 3 New Restaurants, and #8: Picnic in a park!

Oh, I love the giant watering can! It's a shame that it rained, although perhaps you all got 'watered'? ;-)

I've never seen a bike like that... where the baby can ride up front! (I must be WAY out of the loop, haha.)

These were all such great pictures! Congrats to your cousin for getting married, too! :-)
