Organizing Time

So, I decided to make a couple of projects for myself while working on everything for Christmas. As if I wasn't busy enough already (I don't know where I get this from).

First, I made a rather makeshift shelf to put into my closet. It's not fancy, and it's not pretty, but it makes room for me to have multiple items in there and not worry about them falling on my face when I have to retrieve something. I can even put my diaper bag in the closet now! My bench is free and clear! I'm so happy!

I also took a pic of the bench area... mainly because I wanted to show the before and after of the hall with the new hooks shelf I made myself for Christmas. I made it... but I haven't put it up yet. Lame, I know.
Looks like it needs a little something, huh?
Next, I made a sock organizer for my baby girl's drawer. It's easy. All you need is a load of toilet paper tubes (cut in half), a 2-3" high box (or shoebox lid), wrapping paper, scrapbooking paper, and paper clips.

First, wrap your box and put coordinating paper on the bottom.

Next, take all your toilet paper tube halves and place them in the box, clipping them together with paper clips. You should be able to pull the whole thing out like so.

Then, put them back in, paper clips to the bottom of the box.

Here is the 'before'... note... a LOT of socks (and I'm so happy I didn't have to buy them. Socks are expensive!)

The 'after'! Lookin soooo nice!

Well, that's my little organizing blurb. Enjoy organizing your own closets! :)
