Anyway, I decided that the February challenge would be...
cleaning the walls and ceilings.
Now I don't know if you already do this on a regular basis... some people do. I don't. This challenge will mostly embody wiping down walls and ceilings to remove cobwebs, and scrubbing doors and other more grungy areas to remove dirt from fingerprints. Not difficult, but something most people easily miss (like me).
This week we will be working mainly in the entrance, dining area, and hallways. You know, the rooms that aren't really rooms? Sort of?
This is my list for the week... it's a bit less than the other lists due to me being absolutely exhausted and, for the most part, finished all my 'unfinished projects' (remember that part of January's challenge?).
To Do List - February 1-6 (focus - entrance, dining area, halls)
sweep- vacuum
- regular bathroom cleaning
- laundry x3
- farm books
- personal books (including trip bookwork)
exercise x3 (Tues, Thurs, Sat)dust baseboards/etc in dining, hallway and entrance areas- extra dusting in dining, hallway and entrance areas
- wipe down walls in dining, hall, entrance areas (and ceilings where necessary)
- scrub doors visible from these areas.
- set up planter
- put up frames
- put up candle art (not this month. Figured out where to place when I have other frames fixed and ready to go up though)
clean exterior entrance area (give a good scrub, doors and windows)- scrub entrance floor (with brush... mopping isn't cutting it anymore)
- unpack from trip
- put new purchases into their proper areas
Well, I've started, and I'm nowhere near finished. Today I just want to relax. Sigh.
We'll see how much I get done today.

Your list makes me tired already!
I know those ceilings get so darn dirty! Especially the rooms with the ceiling fans! And we have the bumpy ceilings...ugh!~ I use a clean broom and you won't believe how much I got down!!!
I do NOT clean my walls on a regular basis, unless I see fingerprints or something that really stand out. When we first moved in I made it a "weekly chore" to dust all the baseboards and ceilings with one of those duster thingies that has an extension (I don't know how to explain it, it's like a big feathery thing on the end of a stick). But I gave that up after a few months because it just takes too much time with little to no evidence that it's been done (I thrive on rewards, apparently, haha). Now I do it like once a month, but really I like your approach better where you "deep clean" a few rooms at a time instead. Now I dust the baseboards by hand (again, just one or two rooms at a time), and it seems much more effective that way!
Thank you as always for giving me ideas to focus on. I think I'll wash a few walls with actual water this month too. Especially around those pesky light switches! :-)
