Spring is HERE!

Yesturday was a fun day. We decided to go shopping and I actually bought stuff... which is a big deal for me. First, I really needed a swimsuit. Really. Sears was having a swimsuit sale, so we went, and I actually found one I liked. It was only $40 (which is good for a nice swimsuit... I find Walmart ones just don't cut it for me). The last Sears suit I bought lasted 5 years. We also went to Zellers and I finally bought that purse I had been debating on for a month now... it came in 3 colors, 2 which I couldn't choose between. There was black with a pink multicolored sash, a pink one with a similar sash, and a green one with a greenish sash. I couldn't pick between the pink or green (I really wanted some pink, but the pink one was just too much pink). I ended up getting the black one. The fact that it was 25% off helped!
I also was able to go to Micheals! It's been years! Seriously! I could have spent hours in the scrapbooking section alone, but Chuck was pushing me to finish up, so I got my paper organizer (30% off) and a few things from the clearance area (all for $1). Those items were so super cute! I finally got stick-it notes. I also picked up a ring notebook with fairies, and matching 'recipe box' (which will be used for photos) and magnetic notepad. There was also a butterfly magnetic notepad, matching ribbon, and another interesting matching notepad which I couldn't pass by (and THAT is REALLY strange... I usually have no problem saying 'no, I don't need it', but stationary makes me happy for some reason). Love the dollar deals! I got another paper organizer at walmart. I'll have to take pics of my newly organized office and scrapbooking area to show you. Now I can find my scrapbook paper (I couldn't wait to get home and start organizing it all).

Today we were going to go swimming, but apparently, so was half of the town, so the pool was filled to capacity and they had a waiting list of 30 people. Needless to say, we didn't go (shoot) but instead we went for a nice long 1 hour walk with M in the stroller. It was so nice to walk together again, and so nice to get outside.

The snow is melting like crazy! It was so good to get out in that balmy +10C weather (ok, maybe 8C, but it was still amazing compared to -30C!).
Afterward we went to my grandparent's house for my Grandpa's 75th birthday. It was so cute to see my grandparents with my lil girl. This is the only Great Grandpa tha BabyM has. She saw him and gave him such a huge grin. He loved it.

And of course, what great grand-daughter won't suck on a long string of pearls? I thought this was just too cute. Next up, a photo of M with Grandma (my mom). M was all smiles today... it was irresistable (although for some reason the pics I grabbed up here she isn't really smiling in... weird how that worked out).

Dad pulled out some photos to show me... baby pics of myself. I looked at a couple of them and could hardly believe how much M looked like that baby in the picture! I'll have to get him to scan and send me one or two of them so I can show you! It's incredible! I really wish I had a baby pic of Chuck to see any resemblances as well, but he was the 5th of 6 kids, and they didn't exactly have digital cameras then. Ah well. There are a few pics of him as a kid out there.
So, how were your weekends?

I could spend HOURS in Michaels, it's SUCH a bad habit. Literally, I try to avoid that place because DAYS have been lost just wandering around looking, haha. It looks like you had a great time with your grandparents! It's so weird, isn't it, how digital cameras have had such an impact on childhood? I mean, seriously, I probably have 200 pictures of my childhood, tops, and TEN TIMES that of my cat alone! It makes me happy, haha. :-)

That looks like such a great time. Being with family is the best!

I love the picture of Marin with your mom. Too cute!

Oh, Sab those pictures are PRICELESS. Marin is getting cuter by the day.

Michaels and Joanns -- my downfall. My girlfriend and I go in either one and could very happily stay ALL DAY looking at EVERY SINGLE THING.

I've been missing you; it's nice to be back!

lol - my best friend and I love stationary too; we're always picking up notepads and cards for eachother. I almost miss being in school just for the back-to-school shopping!
Almost.
